This week, the Town Council of Xaló has begun the urbanisation of the land and accesses to where the new school / high school will be built. This is the first step that the Department of Education needs to be able to move forward with the future school.
The work has been granted a total of 79,950 euros and the council expects that in a few months the work will be finished. It is a grant from the Diputación de Alicante for financially sustainable projects, accounted for in the 2020 municipal budget.
Regarding the matter, Mayor Joan Miquel Garcés highlighted that “we are very satisfied because it is a great step forward for the new school / high school to be finished as soon as possible”.
With this infrastructure, the purchasing of the land and other actions, the village of Xaló has invested more than 200,000 euros in the last year to make the new school / high school possible.
