Due to the extent of virus Covid-19 (Coronavirus) and as a more preventive approach following the recommendations from the Directorate of Security and Emergencies of the Generalitat Valenciana and the State Government, the town council of Xaló has decided to adopt the following measures to reduce the risk of the spread of the pandemic and to protect especially vulnerable groups:
➡️ The town council of Xaló has agreed to suspend or postpone all events organized by the town council from today 12th March and until 26th March (on that date the situation will be evaluated again). All public events and social and cultural events that were due to take place both outdoors and indoors and that were organized by the town council of Xaló are suspended or postponed. In addition to any group events organised by private associations using municipal facilities . It includes the antiques market (rastro), farmers market (mercat de la terra) and the Tuesday street market.
➡️ Any meeting that makes use of municipal facilities remain cancelled
➡️ This suspension includes all cultural and sports activities, including those of municipal sports clubs, including training and participation in sports competitions of any type, until March 26.
➡️ Sports facilities will also be closed.
➡️ Also suspended are any activities taught by the department for the elderly (Gymnastics and memory workshop for seniors), as well as all activities in the Social Center, until further notice. The library, the Municipal Museum and the music school will also be closed.
➡️ The administrative management facilities of the Xaló town hall will be kept open during regular hours, although we ask that in the next 15 days they are only attended in case of strict need. ➡️ The town council of Xaló calls on private entities to suspend group activities of any kind. It asks that information be obtained through official channels and for responsible behaviour on the part of the public.
➡️ The recommendations of the Department of Health are as follows:

– Avoid visiting risk groups.
– Continue with your routine but avoid travelling unnecessarily.
– Wash your hands well and often and cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when coughing or sneezing.
