On Saturday 2nd and 9th of March the Bèrnia-Xaló cycling school visited Chelva and Chiva respectively, achieving very good results in the beginner and child categories in the Valencian County Mountain Bike Open (Open BTT).
On Saturday 2nd March the Xaló cycling school participated in the Chelva qualification at the Valencian County Mountain Bike Open. Pere Fullana, who participated in the beginner category, came first in both the time trial and the race itself. Maria Mestre, also a beginner, was sixth in the time trial and fifth in the race. Miquel Sifre, in the child category, was first in the time trial and sixth in the race.
At this last weekend’s meeting on Saturday 9th March in Chiva, Pere Fullana repeated his first position on the podium in the beginner category. Maria Mestre was sixth, also as a beginner. And Miquel Sifre came fifth in the child category.
The next meeting for the MTB Open will be in Cofrents. However, before that in the neighbouring town of Benissa on 17th March, the Bèrnia-Xaló cycling school will participate in the first road race.
Also remember that on 30th March 2019, the V Xaló schools MTB trophy will be held in Xaló/Jalón. The participating categories are Prebenjamines (2012-2011), Benjamins (2010-2009), Alevines (2008-2007), Infantiles (2006-2005), cadets (2004-2003) and Juveniles (2002-2001).
